| FAMOUS 5 MILE BRIDGE TO MAINLAND |
Our mid-September trip to upper Michigan was perfect in every way. The fall foliage was beginning to pop out, the day on Mackinac Island for a carriage ride and Fort Mackinac tour was memorable and our trek south via Charlevoix and Grand Rapids completed the wonderful trip.

THE GRAND HOTEL - still! one of great beautiful hotels of all time. This was on the BUCKET LIST for most of us traveling. The opportunity to stay just one night and partake of the 5-course dinner dressed in our finest and acting like ladies and gentlemen (NO CELL PHONES)!
